Summer Workshop Opportunities at UC Irvine

Dear Undergraduate Students,


Are you interested in learning about privacy and IoT research, being mentored by faculty and graduate students from ProperData, and exploring research opportunities? If so, we invite you to participate in our upcoming research exploration workshop:


What:  Privacy and IoT Research Exploration Workshop #2 

When:  June 20th – July 1st,  9am-3pm PST

Where: In-person at the University of California Irvine campus (in our new ISEB building), with an option for remote participation as well.

Funding: funded by the National Science Foundation through the ProperData project. Funding will be provided for travel and accommodation of non-local participants.

The workshop will introduce you to:

·  Cutting-edge research on privacy and IoT.

·  Hands-on projects using the Raspberry Pi, python, and voice assistants/smart speakers.

·  Mentoring from faculty, graduate students (from the ProperData Frontier Center) and industry.

·  Career development activities; Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU).
