Thinking about a career in academia or curious about what that might look like, join us in this panel to explore the unique pathway of women in engineering. In this upcoming discussion, we will explore various pivotal aspects of Engineering Faculty Women in Academia. We will delve into mentorship opportunities and professional development for female faculty members, maternity-related challenges, attitudes towards women in STEM and engineering fields, gender disparities in equal pay, accolades, and recognition, potential limitations on academic aspirations, the intersection of entrepreneurship and academia, discussing the feasibility of engaging in activities beyond faculty duties and more!
This is open to all stages of students but would be most impactful for PhD students, Postdocs, and others interested in pursuing a career in academia.
