2022 UCI UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM SAVE THE DATES: MAY 20 & 21, 2022

This year’s theme, Rising to the Challenge, symbolizes the need for our students to continue to engage and succeed despite a constantly changing environment. We are excited to celebrate our students’ achievements.

This expanded two-day event encourages student engagement with faculty, industry leaders, and fellow students, with both traditional and new activities. UROP Fellows can compete in our new Project Pitch Challenge, and finalists will be invited to deliver their pitches to our industry partners (with cash prizes!) on Friday and participate in invaluable networking opportunities. Our traditional oral and poster presentations will take place on Saturday, highlighting the wide array of research happening across all majors. The event will also feature inspiring keynote speakers and opportunities for thought-provoking conversations during Lunch and Learn sessions.

The call for Symposium Participation will run throughout March.
ALL undergraduates interested in presenting at the Symposium will need to submit their intent to participate, including an abstract or overview of their research during the open call. This includes UROP Fellows and those required to present for a class or lab. Symposium participants will have most of Spring quarter to finalize research and submit revised abstracts through mid-May. More details will be shared via email and on our website. In the meantime, mark your calendar for May 20 and 21, 2022.
